2012 Season

With inspiration from the NJ.com's write up about beach badges and activities we thought should join in on the Summer Spirit!

Summer is right around the corner and the Jersey Shore is prepping for its busiest season. With record spring temperatures and the gas prices not moving past$4.00 a gallon (fingers crossed) this 2012 will hopefully be one to remember.

As stated in the NJ.com article, Long Beach Township promises value; at 16 miles the township has about 20 communities just a short walk away from the beach.  Beach visitors will save $10 on a 2012 seasonal badge when they buy before June 15th. This LBI seasonal beach badge fee is the lowest among many on the Jersey Shore. Also, LBI does not have parking meters; street parking is free for visitors. We encourage everyone to plan your travels and begin planning your 2012 getaways to the Jersey Shore.

Can’t make it to pick up your 2012 beach badge? Contact Shore Solutions we’d be happy to help you!  We encourage everyone to plan your travels and begin planning your 2012 getaways to the Jersey Shore.

Mother's Day 2012

Mother’s day is right around the corner - Sunday, May 13, 2012 is the day to celebrate and honor motherhood, maternal bonds and the influence that mothers around the world have on our society.

Mother’s day is typically spent enjoying relaxing activities. Some of our favorites include visiting a Jersey Shore destination like the beach, the lighthouse, antique shopping, an art gallery, jewelry studio or simply going out to brunch.

Another great idea is making your special Mother’s day guest of honor a brunch. The photos above are of Shore Solutions Champagne brunch.  The décor is very minimal but it is a very chic and well put together event. Try renting or buying new linens for your event, renting a champagne fountain and buying fresh flowers – these are all simple touches to spruce up any event.

It’s all about presentation – as for the food, you can buy bagels or pastries  and slice them nice on a platter, add  sparkling water for only a few dollars  this makes for luxury service. Menu cards are also something that can be easily added as a finishing touch.

We can’t forget the gifts… whether it’s a homemade card, luxurious massage certificate or gift bag with many different items it’s always nice to spoil mom on her special day. Below are some choices that Shore Solutions feels moms will die for! Be sure to visit our gift page to purchase some of these items……. Happy Mother’s Day from Shore Solutions!

Wedding Tips to Follow

The key to planning a wedding is staying as least stressed as possible. Event planning – especially wedding planning can become overwhelming as we know as premier event planners. For the team at Shore Solutions it has become second nature to plan events and meet requests of demanding hosts as well as guests. For someone who does not have the experience, they will quickly notice that coordinating an event is itself a full time job.

Shore Solutions would like to share these helpful tips with our brides, friends and families:

First *Get to it! – many couples main priority is to celebrate their wedding bliss as they should, however .. it’s never too early to start planning! Bridal shows are a great way to get your groom, friends and family involved in even the early stages of planning. Magazines and bridal publications have also become a great source for information. Shore Solutions loves the planning website www.theknot.com

Second*Get organized! – once you set a date, set goals and preliminary deadlines you’d like to accomplish tasks by, organize and evaluate your monthly timelines

Third*Designate times & tasks – allotting time to plan the details will enable you to stay on track in meeting your monthly accomplishments  - also designate tasks to the groom, maid of honor and any other guests who will be involved in the planning stages

Fourth*Attention to detail – be sure to be specific, especially when dealing with vendors and contracts – make sure that every party involved has an understanding of what you’re expectations are

Fifth*Be flexible – you can still be a diva bride – it doesn’t mean you have to be a bridezilla.. you should enjoy the wedding planning as much as you will enjoy the event - don’t sweat the small stuff

Wedding Planning

Thank you to everyone who joined us at the LBI Wedding Roadshow! It was a great success and we were so excited to meet all of the brides who attended.  Of course we cannot forget to mention how great it was to see the interactive grooms showing their input as well.

It was a pleasure working with everyone and sharing some of Shore Solutions wedding planning ideas and tips.  From invitations, venues and flowers to favors and dresses each special detail is arranged to coordinate a spectacular event.

It is very exciting to think that with our wedding planning expertise we have contributed to some of the ideas that a bride and groom may use for their special day. The two photos above were both hits at the roadshow, visit Shore Solutions on Pinterest for some other fun ideas - http://pinterest.com/shoresolutions/

Even with thunderstorms, it was an amazing experience and we look forward to being in touch with our brides and following up to see how their planning is progressing!

Spring Break

For many, the week after Easter is the time when school age children have a week off for  break. Although this can be a great way to spend time with your children, after the third or fourth day your routine can get redundant. The key to a successful spring break for both children and parents is to plan activities.

These activities do not need to be costly, some can even be free. There are lots of place in the Tri-state area to visit and sightsee. You must have an action plan before you hear your child say the dreadful words, “I’m bored”.

Since Mother Nature has been good to us with record highs, many summer attractions can be tackled without a hitch.  Six Flags Great Adventure is open exclusively for spring break all week, April 8th to April 15th.  Both Seaside Heights and Point Pleasant rides and attractions are open on weekends, but the boardwalks are a great way to get some fresh air during the week.

If April showers are an issue, plan a trip to the movies or your local children’s theatre. Pottery studios have also been becoming more popular throughout the area. Some of our other favorite attractions include, Land of Make Believe and Storybook Land.

If you feel yourself running out of ideas even think of changing your scenery - - pack lunches and a blanket and travel to your local park. A picnic is a perfect way to spend the day out of the house. Many Jersey Shore parks offer hiking trails that are fun for children to walk or even ride a bike on. These parks also offer fun for your four legged friend – dog parks are a great way for both your children and dogs to interact with other pets.

Don’t forget, when you hear the words “I’m bored” instead of getting frustrated - brainstorm with your about new ideas for different experiences!
